All is not lost… things can be turned around!
Life can certainly take a turn for the unexpected!
As I look at the full moon tonight, the beaver moon, I am reflecting on what should have happened this weekend.
Moon gazing hares seem to be playing a big part in my weekend as I couldn’t find them to take to a huge and very successful event, but now I stand with the moon gazing hare jewellery in my hand looking at the moon, looking at them complete with the tiny flowers, leaves and moonstone, I feel rather melancholy as I missed that special event.
Those magical hares who represent the real hares that frolic across the Suffolk landscape showing their amazing agility and their love of freedom. Moon gazing silver hares that represent the magic of the past when it was considered extremely lucky to see a moon gazing hare.
Yes I am sad and very disappointed.
I went for an appointment at the hospital on Thursday evening to see the consultant who performed my knee replacement surgery as I am experiencing some very strange clonking noises and pain from that joint. I had already decided that I knew deep down that I would not survive a weekend of selling my jewellery due to the length of time I would have to be on my feet! My consultant confirmed it would not be the right thing to do and insisted I go for an X-ray on the said joint which I will do next week.
As we drove home, tears silently ran down my face… total disappointment, I had everything packed up ready to take to the fair and I had even found those enchanted silver hare pendants and earrings to take too.
That evening I went to bed early, I wouldn’t be much company for anyone… but I wasn’t going to give up! It suddenly came to me if you can’t stand for long do something in a shorter length of time and somewhere local, so not much travelling.
My husband was gigging in our local pub the following night, he is a vocalist and he said he would ask the manager if I could showcase my jewellery there before Christmas. She was in agreement and so within twenty four hours it had been totally planned, flyers are on their way, posters have been put up and everything is arranged.
I thank my moon gazing hare pendants, they have brought me some luck, all is not lost and hopefully their good fortune will shine on me when I have the X-ray on my knee. Let’s hope the results will be good news.
Join me on the showcase if you live in Suffolk, I shall be at the Veta Rosetta Coffeeshop at the Black Tiles public house Black Tiles Lane Martlesham Woodbridge IP12 4SP
